Twitter Vista Side Show Gadget released

Ikanos Consulting have released a Twitter Side Show Gadget:

The Twitter Gadget from Ikanos Consulting allows you to set your Twitter status, check up on your friends, and dig into friends’ timelines, all from your Windows SideShow(tm) device. Features include status settings, friend pictures, friend timelines and status pre-sets. This is not a Sidebar gadget. It is for Windows SideShow devices only.

Easy access to Vista system folders

Not Media Center related but a very useful list of shell commands which is handy as I still can't find my way to some of Vista's system folders when I need them.

Type (or paste) the shell command in the Start Search or into the Run dialog (Start Menu, Programs, Accessories) and press Enter.

  • shell:AddNewProgramsFolder - Opens the Install a program from the network location.
  • shell:Administrative Tools - Opens the Administrative Tools section of the Control Panel.
  • shell:AppData - Opens the hidden location C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming
  • shell:AppUpdatesFolder - Opens the Installed Windows Updates location in Program and Files.
  • shell:Cache - Opens Internet Explorer’s temporary internet files folder.
  • shell:CD Burning - Opens the location where files are stored temporarily before Windows Vista burns them.
  • shell:ChangeRemoveProgramsFolder - Opens Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
  • shell:Common Administrative Tools - Opens the Administrative Tools section of the Control Panel.
